Steven Watts West
Steven Watts west was born on May 22, 2009 at 7:38am. He was 7lbs 13oz and 20 inches in length. Enjoy these pics from his first day..............

What Did I Do Today?
Today I left some dishes dirty,
The bed got made around 3:30.
The diapers soaked a little longer,
The odor grew a little stronger.
The crumbs I spilled the day before
Are staring at me from the floor.
The fingerprints there on the wall
Will likely be there still next fall.
The dirty streaks on those windowpanes
Will still be there next time it rains.
Shame on you, you sit and say,
Just what did you do today?
I held a baby till he slept,
I held a toddler while he wept.
I played a game of hide and seek,
I squeezed a toy so it would squeak.
I pulled a wagon, sang a song,
Taught a child right from wrong.
What did I do this whole day through?
Not much that shows, I guess that's true.
Unless you think that what I've done,
Might be important to someone
With big brown eyes and light brown hair,
If that is true...I've done my share.
My friend Alyssa posted this poem on her blog yesterday & I just had to copy it to our blog as well. What a good reminder of the important role we play as parents and caregivers. I hope I can remember this everyday I feel not as productive as I would like.

Our Yard/House
Okay many of you know that I have been working on our front yard for the past few weeks. Well I finally finished yesterday!!! Not to toot my own horn but I did it all my self, with help from a neighbor when I couldn't move any more, the sprinkler system, the tilling, the leveling, and yes the sod. Anywase thanks to Jeremy and Travis for helping me cross the finish line and here are the pics. I believe this is the first posting with pics of the house too!!!

David & Daddy
This is just a random post to show how much David loves his Daddy! James loves to play and wrestle with David. David has already established his wants and needs from each parent... when he wants to play, he goes straight to Daddy. When he wants to cuddle, he runs to Mommy. Such a funny thing!
