Summer in September

This year, the month of September felt more like summer than fall. We decided to take a hike in Zions National Park to enjoy the weather. It was a 2.2 mile hike along the river and was just beautiful! James carried Steven in the backpack and David walked the whole thing (besides the last 5 minutes, when he was exhausted and practically sleep-walking) by himself. When we got to the top, we were able to let the boys play in the river for a while. Of course they enjoyed that! And David was fascinated by all the friendly critters that came out to say hello. It was so nice to get out and enjoy God's handiwork as a family. We are so grateful to live in such beautiful country. Enjoy the pics!

So sweet! Don't you just love to get out and do "free" things as a family? And enjoy nature?! No phones (well, sorta), no computers, no TVs! Looks like a wonderful time!

Ah, I almost cried with the music in the background on your blog and thinking how much I miss you guys. I'll be calling you guys on Thursday as I'm on a long drive. ...Will talked about David tonight...I'll tell you later. It was pretty cute.
