Hello all! Just had to post about our latest exciting news at our house. David is potty training! And he is doing great! Despite being told we should wait until he is 3, we just felt like he may be ready now. We started last week and there have definitely been a few accidents. But yesterday, I think it actually clicked! Two different times he recognized that he had to go potty, ran to me and said, "PEE!" So we ran to the bathroom, and sure enough he went potty! He even went poop! I was so excited, but was hoping it wasn't a fluke. But this morning, he was so excited to put on his big boy underwear (Buzz was today's underwear of choice). After breakfast, I tried to get him to go, but he fought me on it. Although, 15 minutes later, he told me had to pee, so we went to the bathroom and he did his business. YEAH! I'm sure we'll still have accidents, but I feel like we are on the right track. Here are a few pictures of him showing off his underwear and his sucker (the prize he gets when he makes it to the toilet). Good job David!

Rad! Way to go David! No child is the same in development so while waiting until a specific age as advised is 'okay' it's so much better for the child and for the parents as well and there is much more success when mom and dad listen to and understand the individual child's development stage. Congrats to David again on his soon to be graduation to official Big Boy!
I am very impressed! David is becoming quite the intelligent boy. :)
